Get to Know Our Captain View Other Conditions Professional Qualifications and Clinical Experience Dr Lam Kai Yet obtained his medical and postgraduate qualifications from the National University of Singapore and the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in UK. He went on to complete a Patellofemoral and Sports Surgery Fellowship at the Hopital de la Croix-Rousse in France, and a Paediatric Orthopaedics Fellowship at the Great Ormond Street Hospital in London. Prior to starting Bone Island Children’s Clinic, Dr Lam served as the deputy head of department and senior consultant in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH). At KKH, he furthered his paediatric specialisation by obtaining the Diploma of Children’s Orthopaedics from the European Paediatric Orthopaedic Society. Dr Lam helped set up the Limb Lengthening and Deformity Clinic in 2018. He also established the use of 3D printing in deformity correction in this region and was awarded the prestigious Asia Pacific Paediatric Orthopaedics Travelling Fellowship in 2019 for his work. Dr Lam’s continued passion in education has seen him organise multiple regional educational events, such as the first ASEAN Deformity Workshop and KKH Paediatric Orthopaedic Trauma symposiums. For his dedication to teaching, Dr Lam was awarded the Outstanding Faculty Award in 2018/2019 by SingHealth Residency. Dr Lam regularly finds time to care for the underprivileged in Singapore and other regional countries. He is also a committee member of the Singapore Orthopaedic Association Humanitarian and Outreach Subcommittee. He is recognised for his expertise in this subspeciality field, and is often invited to present at international and regional conferences. Philosophy of CareDr Lam is dedicated to bringing a new level of expertise and care to the emerging field of Paediatrics Orthopaedics in Singapore. He has amassed experience in this specialised field, through his practice in KKH, as well as the overseas fellowships, specialised trainings and conferences. Dr Lam selalu meluangkan waktu untuk merawat mereka yang kurang mampu, baik di Singapura maupun negara-negara lain di wilayah sekitarnya. Beliau juga merupakan anggota komite dari Singapore Orthopaedic Association Humanitarian and Outreach Subcommittee (Sub-Komite Kemanusiaan dan Penyuluhan). Beliau dikenal karena keahliannya dalam bidang subspesialisasi ini, dan sering diundang untuk menjadi pembicara di konferensi internasional dan regional.
